A company that has been on my radar for several months now is VOIQ. This is a company that hires work at home call center agents to make outbound calls. But unlike most other phone jobs from home where there is a list a mile long of required equipment, this company only requires that you use a smartphone.
I know that many of you have only smartphones to access the internet, yet you still want to work from home. So this company might be worth checking out if that's your situation. Here are some more basic details:
Who Is Qualified to Work For VOIQ?
According to the website, you need to be at least 21 years of age, have a smartphone or tablet and high-speed internet, and have some past experience in sales and/or lead generation. Their “apply” pages contradict themselves in regard to exactly how much sales experience you need to have, ranging from one to three years minimum. So, if you have any sales experience at all, there may be no harm in applying to see what happens.
I'm not sure if this is open worldwide. However, the application form you fill out does not require that you give them your location.
What Does the Job Involve?
According to the VOIQ website, they have different campaigns going on for various clients. You can sign up to make calls for specific campaigns. Within their app, there will be info sessions you're required to attend so you can learn all you need to know about each campaign and the products and/or services you'll be promoting.
Then, you review the campaign and practice the script and responses you're required to give based on how the person you're calling answers. And finally, you can start calling through the app for the campaign and earn money.
What Equipment Do You Need to Work For VOIQ?
As mentioned above, you just need an Android or Apple smartphone. You can also work from an Android or Apple tablet. In addition, high-speed internet is a must.
What Is the Schedule Like For VOIQ?
You can work whenever you want for VOIQ. There is no set schedule. However, certain campaigns do have restrictions on when you can make your calls.
How Much Does VOIQ Pay Callers?
You are paid .30 cents per minute of talk time. In addition, there are incentives available for certain campaigns and for coming to information sessions to learn about various campaigns.
The application page claims that $15 hourly is possible, but again, it will just depend on how much time you spend on the phone.
When Does VOIQ Pay Callers?
The website says you get paid weekly with Paypal on Fridays. Also, you only need $1 in your account to get a payment. Your payments aren't automatically made.
You'll have to manually request your payments before 3 PM EST every Friday to ensure you get paid.
What Do Other Workers Say About VOIQ?
I usually turn to Glassdoor first to find feedback on work at home companies, but there is no information there about VOIQ. However, I did a search in the Work Place Like Home Facebook group and found some people talking about it.
From what I read there, most were saying it's just extra money for them and they don't get a lot of work. However, another person said she's been with the company for about one year and earns around $350 every few weeks.
So, as it is with anything, experiences vary and you will likely get out of it what you try to put into it. I would be afraid to say that anyone can depend on this to pay all the bills, but it sounds like it might be good “filler” work for supplemental income, especially since you have a lot of flexibility in when you work.
