Are you a Human Resources professional or a recruiter at your day job? Are you savvy at social media and able to work most of the platforms? Are you looking for ways to make extra money from home? Then perhaps becoming an online recruiter for Indeed Crowd might be worth a look.
What Exactly is Indeed Crowd?
It's no secret that Indeed has become a well-known, popular place for job-seekers looking for a job or a better opportunity. There are no shortages of available jobs in all industries—both offline and online.
Indeed is dependent upon online and offline ads, social media, viral marketing and several other methods for getting their message out. This is where you come into the picture. Indeed Crowd is part of the recruiting program where they are willing to pay you for finding potential clients using your email account, social media or whatever other method that you are comfortable using.
However, as an independent recruiter, you will need to make it clear to interested job seekers that you are not working for Indeed and not working on behalf of Indeed or the hiring company. So, somewhere within your correspondence, you will need to write and place a disclaimer. You do not have to be a professional recruiter, but certainly if you already have the know-how and other skills in place, it is a plus.
Also, you get to set your own hours and work as much or as little as you want!
How Does the Recruiting Process Work at Indeed Crowd?
The recruiting process at Indeed can basically be summarized in three steps. They are:
- Searching through the jobs.
- Finding candidates for these jobs.
- Referring the candidates to Indeed.
Let us break these steps down into a bit more detail.
The first step is to search through the jobs in the industry or industries of your choice. Once you sign up at Indeed Crowd and create your profile, you will have opportunities to look through as many jobs in your chosen industry as possible.
It goes without saying that it is wise to choose an industry that you know, like, and understand. You will also receive current job updates to your inbox and can certainly search those as well. Also, look for good leads that might actually qualify.
Step two is finding those candidates using a variety of methods that you are comfortable with. You may use anything from social media to live events in your area.
Basically, the only thing that you cannot do is advertise on Indeed, but you can use their resume database as well as other resume databases that are out there. All of that will be explained in the FAQ section of their website once you sign up on Indeed Crowd.
By all means, if you have a blog and/or newsletter related to a particular industry—use that too. Try a couple of different ways to find job candidates.
Finally, step three is to refer those qualified leads that you found by sending their name, email, phone number, and resumes to Indeed Crowd and let them will take it from there. Should Indeed Crowd find your referral to be a good match, then they will send the individual an invitation via email to apply for the job.
You should also try and stay in touch with your recruits as the recruiting process unfolds.
How Much Money Can You Make as a Recruiter at Indeed Crowd?
As an independent contractor—not an employee—it will really vary on how much time you want to put into it. I don't think that it is something that you can do full-time, but I do believe it could be a nice little side egg to your day job or other work at home jobs.
The pay structure basically works like this:
- For every good lead that could be contacted, you will receive a $10 gift card or “match” reward.
- For every good lead that gets hired, you will also receive the bonus amount listed next to the job.
I have seen a few job bonuses listed for $50 and on up to $250 depending upon the complexity of the job as well as the requirements.
If you have ever worked offline for a company that offers an employee referral program, it works similarly to that. You will just have to be more aggressive with finding recruits rather than just referring your friends.
How Can Interested Individuals Sign Up to Become a Recruiter at Indeed Crowd?
Go to their website and sign up by creating a profile. You can also decide how you want to receive relevant new jobs in the industries of your choice. In addition, you'll be able to keep track of your leads under the Submission tab.
While you don't have to have a LinkedIn account, it is recommended that you have one, and link your LinkedIn profile to your Indeed Crowd account.
Good luck to all who sign up and venture into this opportunity!
