In general, most customer support jobs you do from home are more likely to come with a set schedule and set pay, and you'll be working as an employee for the company like the jobs here, not an independent contractor.
That said, if you're open to independent contractor work, you can typically set your own schedule and decide what your workload will be!
The downside to independent contractor work is never being sure there will even be a workload for you, which is why it's a good idea to have more than one gig to do. It can be a constant hustle! Paragon Planners – Read Paragon Planners Review – Schedulers. AZ, CA, CO, FL, MI, MO, NC, OH, OR, SC & TX. You'll need a quiet home office with a Windows PC (no Mac) and a landline phone. Basic computer proficiency is a must. Pay ranges $12 – $14 / hour dependent on experience.
Windy City Call Center – Virtual Outbound Call Center Representative. Georgia residents only (Full-time, Monday–Friday 9am–7pm CT plus one weekend day). Call homeowners who have already shown interest in home improvement services to confirm details and schedule appointments — no cold calling or selling. Pays $15.00–$17.00/hr with a raise after 30 days; PTO after 90 days. Requires prior outbound call center experience and 35 WPM typing speed; must have Windows 11, 8GB RAM, webcam, and a wired internet connection (no Wi-Fi).
Supporting Strategies – Remote Accountant. United States. Part-time, 25–30 hours per week, Monday–Friday during standard business hours (8:00 AM–5:00 PM in your time zone). You'll handle bookkeeping, accounts payable and receivable, monthly book closings, and financial reporting for multiple small business clients. Pays $30.00–$35.00 per hour. Requires a bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business, 5+ years of full-cycle accounting experience, and at least 1 year using QuickBooks or NetSuite.
Everlight Solar – Customer Service Representative. United States. Full-time, Monday–Friday 8am–4pm CST with alternating Saturdays 8am–6pm CST. Answer incoming calls, help customers with questions or problems, and keep records of each interaction. Requires some customer service experience preferred, strong phone and communication skills, attention to detail, ability to multitask in a fast-paced setting, must own a Mac computer and be comfortable using Apple software, and must pass a background check. Pays $30,000–$40,000 per year; benefits include health, dental, vision, and life insurance, PTO, sick time, and paid holidays.
Angi – Inside Sales Representative. United States (Remote; many states). Full-time (40 hours, Monday–Friday). Call home service businesses from provided leads to explain and sell Angi's paid lead programs, handle objections, and help businesses get more customer jobs. Requires a high school diploma or GED and either a bachelor's degree or 2+ years of sales or customer-facing experience. Pays $40,000–$78,000 per year base plus uncapped commission (top earners can earn $180,000+), with benefits including paid training, medical/dental/vision, HSA contribution, 401(k) match, company equity, generous PTO and paid holidays, and company-provided equipment.
GE Appliances (ASI) – Inbound Customer Service Agent. Utah, South Dakota, Texas, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Mississippi, Kentucky, Ohio, or South Carolina. Full-time, Monday–Thursday 10-hour shifts (Fridays and weekends off). You'll answer calls, emails, and chats from GE Appliances customers, helping them with product questions, troubleshooting, parts, and service needs. Pays $15.00/hour plus performance incentives, paid weekly; benefits include medical, dental, vision, and 401(k) with company match starting day one, plus paid training, tuition reimbursement, and gym membership reimbursement. One year of customer service experience required; must have a quiet dedicated workspace, wired ethernet internet connection (no satellite or DSL), and download speeds of at least 50 Mbps.
SERVICE 800 – Customer Service Representative. Part-time or full-time. Remote (U.S. – FL, GA, IA, MN, ND, SD, TX, or WI only). SERVICE 800 seeks personable, articulate individuals to conduct phone interviews with customers about recent service experiences. Responsibilities include performing outbound calls, documenting feedback, and maintaining a professional, empathetic tone. Requires prior customer service experience, computer proficiency, telephone skills, and strong communication abilities. Applicants must have a quiet workspace, a Windows 10+ or Mac Big Sur+ computer, antivirus protection, and a hard-wired high-speed internet connection. Must be able to work 20–40 hours per week, Monday through Friday during standard business hours. Pay is hourly and includes taxes, 401(k), healthcare options, and a flexible work environment. Candidates must pass a reading comprehension test, scripting session, and background check.
Koala Health – Customer Experience Associate. Full-time. Remote (U.S. only). Assist pet parents via phone, email, and chat with order updates and product questions. Requires 1+ year of customer service or vet care experience, strong communication skills, and comfort working in a fast-paced virtual environment. Must be available Monday–Friday, 9:30 AM–6 PM ET. Pay is $18/hour with benefits, PTO, 401(k), and a mission-driven team culture. High-speed internet and distraction-free home office required.
Zirtual – Executive Assistants. US. Working from 9 AM to 6 PM. The VA will provide a high-level professional administrative service by working on tasks and projects as assigned by the client, and ensuring they are executed on time and to the highest level of quality. Requires Associate's Degree, Bachelor's Degree, or a minimum of 7 years experience as an Executive Assistant to C-level executives and a minimum of 4 years of administrative experience. VA's are paid 47% of their client's monthly plans with monthly pay averaging $3000-$3500 per month depending on the client mix.

FlexJobs is one of my favorite sites to use for finding remote jobs and learning about new companies that hire remotely. Most of what I see there when I check the listings pays well above minimum wage and are known companies.
The great thing about FlexJobs is that they guarantee ALL listings are scam-free. They list hundreds of jobs — all of which are either remote or flexible in nature — five days per week. There are also no ads on the site.
