I research remote job leads most days, and many openings come from companies I have never heard of. That does not mean they are scams, but it does mean I have to dig into the company and application before sharing them.
I still feel a little better when a familiar name appears. There are far more recognizable companies offering remote work now than when I started this website in 2010.
Below are ten well-known companies hiring remote workers for jobs I verified on August 24, 2026. These openings can close quickly, so apply soon or check the company’s careers page for future remote positions.

1 – Mattel / American Girl – Seasonal Direct Service Associate
Mattel / American Girl is hiring seasonal remote customer service workers in Wisconsin and Illinois. You will help customers by phone and email with orders, products, and general questions.
You need a high school diploma or GED and must type at least 30 words per minute. The job runs from September through early January, with 4 to 20 hours a week after training, and Mattel provides the equipment.

2 – GE Appliances – Inbound Customer Service Agent
GE Appliances is hiring full-time remote customer service agents in Utah, South Dakota, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Mississippi, Kentucky, Ohio, and South Carolina. You will handle incoming calls, solve customer problems, and recommend products or services when appropriate.
The job requires at least one year of customer service or sales experience and wired high-speed internet. It pays $15 per hour plus possible incentives, pays weekly, includes benefits starting on day one, and comes with company equipment.
Training lasts nine weeks, Monday through Friday. The listed schedule after training is four 10-hour weekday shifts, although future shift bids could change your hours.
3 – Minted – Seasonal Customer Service Representative
Minted is hiring seasonal remote customer service representatives in 25 states. You will help customers by phone, email, live chat, and social media with orders, custom products, and delivery problems.
The job runs from September through December 2026 and requires some evening and weekend availability. Applicants need a bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience, previous customer service experience, and the ability to work in several online systems at once.

4 – The Home Depot / Blinds.com – Post-Sale Support Representative
The Home Depot / Blinds.com is hiring remote customer service representatives to help customers with custom window-covering orders. Duties include answering incoming calls, fixing order problems, handling warranties, and working with vendors.
No minimum amount of experience is required, although three years of customer service or retail experience is preferred. The listing is tied to Austin, Texas, and applicants need to be available for schedules that may include evenings and weekends.
Pay is guaranteed at $19.25 per hour for the first six months. Starting in month seven, compensation changes to a $10 hourly base plus commission, so keep that in mind before applying.
5 – U-Haul – Bilingual Roadside Assistance Agent
U-Haul is hiring remote roadside assistance agents who are fluent in both English and French. You will take calls from customers, arrange roadside help, and provide updates until each problem is resolved.
The job pays $17.50 per hour and has full-time overnight and part-time evening schedules. Weekend and holiday availability is required, and you must provide a Windows 11 computer that meets the company’s technical requirements.

The job runs from October 19, 2026, through March 12, 2027. Applicants need an associate degree or at least one year of customer service experience and must type at least 60 words per minute.
You must be available for 40 hours per week between 6 a.m. and 5 p.m. Pacific, Sunday through Friday, including some holidays. Pay ranges from $18.79 to $20.10 per hour, depending on your location.
8 – OLLY – National Account Associate
OLLY is hiring a remote National Account Associate in the Minneapolis area to support its Target business. The work includes analyzing sales data, preparing reports, maintaining dashboards, and helping with Target.com projects.

Recognizable companies do hire remotely, but that does not mean every opening will be available everywhere or fit your experience. Read the location requirements and schedule carefully before spending time on an application.
Also, apply only through the company’s official careers page. A legitimate employer should not ask you to pay for an application or send money for equipment.
