25 Remote Chat & Email Support Jobs Hiring Now (No Phone Required)

One of the most sought-after work at home jobs is chat agent or email-only work. People love the idea of this because you're just typing and not actually having to talk to another person.

That said, the work can still be stressful if you're also having to answer emails or juggle multiple chats at one time. Also, many companies will still ask you to take phone calls, too.

Today I wanted to dig around for companies that are hiring right now for chat or email-based primarily. Note that a few of them may still mention phone calls, but the primary focus is chat/email/social media customer support for what I have listed below.

As with many of my posts, keep in mind this is very time sensitive and the jobs will come and go. If you're reading this several weeks or months after it's published, of course many of these won't be open. But I will try to keep it updated as often as possible if this is something that interests most of you!

Companies Hiring Chat Agents Now

ZayZoon – Customer Care Representative. United States and Canada (fully remote). Full-time, Thursday–Monday 10am–6pm MT including weekends. Provide support to customers of a financial wellness and earned wage access platform via in-app chat and email. No phone calls. Requires 3–5 years of customer service experience and strong written communication skills. Pays CA$50,000 base plus CA$5,000 bonus, with full benefits from day one. Chatdesk (Remarkable AI) – Customer Support Expert. United States and Canada. Freelance, flexible hours. Respond to customer messages via email, social media (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Twitter), and chat on behalf of e-commerce brands. No phone calls. Set your own schedule and choose your own hours. No prior customer service experience required. Strong written English required; additional languages a plus. Pay not listed; per-message compensation model.

Synthesia – Technical Support Associate. United States (fully remote). Full-time. Provide first-line technical support to enterprise customers primarily via live chat, troubleshooting platform issues, documenting cases, and escalating complex problems to senior team members. Requires 1–3 years of experience in a technical support or helpdesk role. Familiarity with ticketing systems like Intercom or Salesforce a plus. Pay not listed.

Polymarket – International Customer Support. Fully remote. Full-time. Provide first-line customer support via live chat, email, Discord, and Telegram for a fast-growing prediction market platform. Requires 4-plus years of experience in fintech, crypto, trading, or web3. Experience with payments, KYC/AML compliance, or trading infrastructure a plus. Must be available to cover international time zones outside North and South America, including weekends and off-hours. Pays competitive salary plus equity, with full health benefits and 401k match.

Poppy & Peonies – Customer Experience Representative. Canada (fully remote). Full-time, Monday–Friday 8:30am–4:30pm ET. Respond to customer inquiries via live chat (Tidio) and email for a vegan accessories brand. No phone calls. Requires experience in DTC or e-commerce customer service and familiarity with Shopify. Pays $50,000–$60,000 CAD per year with benefits including 3 weeks PTO and a health spending account.

Poppy & Peonies – Customer Experience Representative (Wed–Sun). Canada (fully remote). Full-time, Wednesday–Sunday 12pm–8pm ET. Respond to customer inquiries via live chat (Tidio) and email for a vegan accessories brand. No phone calls. Requires experience in DTC or e-commerce customer service and familiarity with Shopify. Maple – Customer Support Coordinator. Canada (fully remote, must be located in Canada). Full-time, 40–44 hours per week. Handle high-volume live chat and email inquiries for a virtual healthcare platform, troubleshooting platform issues and escalating complex cases as needed. No phone calls. Requires experience in a customer-facing role and comfort working in a fast-paced digital environment. Shift-based scheduling including evenings, weekends, and holidays required. Pays $19.35–$20.75 per hour. Start date June 2026.

Visme – Support Agent (Tier 1). Fully remote. Full-time (part-time schedule also possible). Answer support tickets and live chats for a visual content creation platform, helping users with technical questions, account management, and billing inquiries. Occasional weekend ticket check-in required 2–3 times per month. Requires at least 1 year of SaaS customer support experience and strong written English skills. Familiarity with HubSpot, Zendesk, or Google Suite a plus. Pay not listed.

Capacity eCommerce (FootJoy) – Chat Brand Rep. United States (fully remote). Contract (1099), part-time, 15–20 hours per week, nights and weekends. Chat with customers about FootJoy golf shoes, apparel, and gear as a brand enthusiast. Must own and use FootJoy products and have a genuine passion for golf. No phone calls. Pays $15 per hour, paid weekly, plus performance rewards redeemable for products or gift cards.

Umbrel – Customer Support (Non-Technical). Fully remote. Full-time. Support users across email, Discord, website chat, forums, and social media for non-technical issues including orders, shipping, returns, and replacements. No phone calls. Requires strong written communication skills and genuine enthusiasm for helping users. Pay not listed.

Capacity eCommerce (Titleist) – Chat Brand Rep. United States (fully remote). Contract (1099), part-time. Chat with customers on Titleist.com about golf equipment and provide expert product guidance as a brand enthusiast. Requires 5-plus years of golf experience, 2-plus years of club fitting experience, and in-depth knowledge of Titleist products. No phone calls. Pays $20 per hour, paid weekly.

Capacity eCommerce (CDW) – IT Chat Specialist. United States (fully remote). Contract (1099), part-time. Chat with customers about IT products and technology purchasing on behalf of CDW, a large-scale technology retailer. Requires 5-plus years of IT industry experience. Knowledge of corporate or hospital IT systems and familiarity with major OS environments a plus. No phone calls. Pays $18–$22 per hour based on experience, paid weekly.

Vetcove – Chat Support Associate (this one may occasionally involve phone calls). United States (fully remote). Full-time. Support veterinary professionals using a procurement and practice management platform via live chat, email, and phone. Requires 1 year of customer-facing experience and strong written and verbal communication skills. Chat support experience preferred. Associate's or bachelor's degree required. Pays $50,000–$80,000 per year plus bonus and equity, with full benefits.

Greenhouse – Technical Support Specialist. Ontario, Canada (fully remote). Full-time, 10am–7pm ET. Serve as first point of contact for technical support via email, chat, and video calls for a leading recruiting software platform. Requires 3-plus years of customer-facing experience across email and live chat channels and experience with Zendesk. Must be legally eligible to work in Canada. Pays $25.10–$30.15 CAD per hour.

Aghanim – Customer Support Specialist. Fully remote. Full-time. Provide chat and email support to end users of a gamedev and payments platform, investigating payment issues, managing tickets, and coordinating with internal teams for resolution. No phone calls. Provide ticket-based support for users of an AI creative platform, handling escalations, creating help documentation, engaging with Reddit and user forums, and identifying trends to improve automated support. Requires 1–3 years of customer support experience, strong written communication, and genuine interest in AI and creative tools. Application requires building a sample Runway workflow. Pays $75,000–$90,000 per year.
