In recent years, AI has taken the internet by storm. Most people seem to either love it or hate it.
Those of us who love it are in awe of it's ability to answer questions (any question) intelligently, spit out whatever text we ask it to, or even translate languages for us.
Those of us who hate it mainly fear it. Is it going to replace our day jobs? Are the things we get paid to do going to be done by machines in the future, rendering us useless?
AI does cause anxiety for many people who fear it (and other) AI being able to do things we get paid to do, almost as well as we can.
All that aside, AI is here to stay whether we like it or not. And I am of the opinion that in the meantime, the smart thing is to embrace it and, rather than worry about how it could eventually take money away from us, focus on the ways it can help us earn money now! And it can.
Below I've listed out fifteen little ways you can use AI to help you make money. I hope it gets your wheels turning and, if you're someone who feels anxious about it, calms your nerves and helps you see how you could use it to your advantage for the time being. 15 Ways ChatGPT Can Help You Make Money
1 – Create Custom Bedtime Stories for Parents
Parents love special stories that include their child’s name. You can use AI to help you write custom bedtime stories and sell them online. Add simple pictures and turn them into a digital product you can sell over and over.
You can sell these stories on sites like Etsy, Gumroad, Payhip, or even your own website. Some people also offer them on Fiverr as custom story writing services. You can sell them as printable PDFs or as digital downloads parents can read on a tablet.
For writing the stories, tools like ChatGPT work very well for creative storytelling. You can ask it to write in a warm, simple tone for young children.
While AI can write the entire story for you, remember your own mind is still the most creative! I'd recommend letting AI come up with the structure and outline, but making it your own will result in a better product.
2 – Make Practice Interview Packs
Many people feel nervous before interviews. You can create practice questions and sample answers for different jobs. Put them into a simple PDF and sell them to job seekers.
To create one of these, you would pick a specific job type like remote customer service, virtual assistant, or nursing. Then, use ChatGPT (GPT-4 level models work best) to generate common interview questions and strong sample answers, and then edit them so they sound natural. AI still not the greatest at sounding natural!
After you have the content ready, organize everything into a clean PDF using Canva or Google Docs and include 25–50 questions, sample answers, and a short prep checklist for purchasers.
You can then sell the interview packs on Etsy, Gumroad, Payhip, your own blog, or even Fiverr as a custom service (go here for more examples of things to sell on Fiverr).
Simple packs usually sell for $7–$17, and the more detailed bundles can go for $19–$39. If you offer personalized mock interview prep, you could charge $25–$100+ depending on what you include in your packs.
3 – Start a “Text Message Script” Service
Some people do not know what to say in hard situations. You can create text scripts for asking for a raise, setting boundaries, or fixing a mistake. Sell them as downloads or offer custom versions.
Just like the options above, you can create custom packs of these scripts tailored around different situations. ChatGPT or any similar AI model should work fine for coming up with scripts. Use Canva to make the packs attractively designed.
Turn the scripts into PDF's that people can download, and then sell them on Etsy, Fiverr, Payhip, Gumroad, etc.
4 – Build Study Guides for Hard Classes
Students struggle with certain school subjects. You can create simple study guides, summaries, and flashcards. Sell them as printable downloads for students.
To start, choose one subject and grade level, like 8th grade math, high school biology, or basic algebra. Use ChatGPT to help you create simple summaries, key term lists, practice questions, and even flashcards. Keep everything clear and easy to understand. Then, design the study guide in Canva or Google Docs and save it as a printable PDF.
Once the guide is created, you can sell it on Etsy, Gumroad, Payhip, Teachers Pay Teachers, or your own website.
These study packs can sell for $5 each or as much as $30 or more just depending on how much info is contained in each one.
5 – Turn Boring Policies Into Simple Guides
Many businesses have long, boring manuals. You can rewrite them in plain language so employees understand them better. Offer this as a service to small companies.
It would be pretty easy. Download the existing manual into PDF form, upload it into ChatGPT or similar and ask it to rewrite the guide in easy-to-understand terms.
Review what you're given for errors and clarity, making edits where needed. Then, sell it! You can do some before/after samples to show businesses what you can come up with for them.
6 – Create Local Tourist Guides
If you live in a small town or big city or are very familiar with other areas, create a simple travel guide. Add your own tips and photos. Sell it as a digital download for visitors.
You can put this together using any AI model, including Gemini or GPT. Just make sure you review it and edit it for accuracy, clarity, and to put your own personal spin and touch on it.
These can be sold on any of the platforms I've been mentioning like Etsy, Gumroad, Payhip, or Fiverr among others.
7 – Make Niche Email Templates
Small business owners often struggle with email. You can create email templates for realtors, coaches, Etsy sellers, or fitness trainers. Sell them as a bundle.
Start by picking one type of business, like realtors or online coaches. Think about the emails they would send all the time, and work to create those. For example, welcome emails, follow-up emails, sales emails, or reminder emails.
Use ChatGPT to help you write simple drafts, and then edit them so they sound natural and have the right tone for the type of business you're creating templates for.
Once you have 10–20 strong email templates, put them into a PDF file. You can sell the bundle on Etsy, Gumroad, Payhip, or your own website. These could go for anywhere from $9 per pack up to $30 just depending on how much you put into it.
8 – Create Printable Party Games
Make trivia games, baby shower games, or holiday quizzes. Design them nicely using a site like Canva and sell them as printable downloads.
They can be turned into PDF files and then sold on any of the popular platforms I mentioned previously.
On Etsy, most sellers price single baby shower or bridal shower games around $3–$4 each. Holiday bundles (Christmas, Halloween, Thanksgiving) often sell for $10–$18, depending on how many pages are included and how nice the design is.
9 – Build Small Digital Products
Yes, more digital product ideas! It's a big part of how you can make money with AI. You can use it to make:
- Journal prompts
- Instagram caption packs
- Blog post ideas
- Meal plans
Package them and sell them as simple digital products. Also, look around on Etsy and see what sort of of digital products people seem to be selling.

10 – Start a Faceless YouTube or TikTok Channel
This would be a little more advanced, but it's not a bad idea. Some people are building “faceless” social media channels. They use AI to come up with scripts, images, voiceovers, and videos.
You do not need to show your face! With ads, brand deals, and affiliate links, some creators are earning serious income with faceless channels.
Wondering what AI tools to use for this? You could try:
-
GPT-4 level model for scripts
-
InVideo AI (or similar) for video creation
-
ElevenLabs for voice
And you can make your channel about any topic that you have interest in, but do some research first to see what niches appear to be profitable for others.
11 – Offer AI Video Creation Services
Some AI platforms now let you create full videos from just one short prompt. You can type something like, “Create a 60-second motivational video for small business owners,” and it will add stock footage, text on screen, music, and even a voiceover.
Tools like InVideo AI and similar platforms make this fairly easy.
Here’s how you could turn this into income:
First, practice making a few sample videos in different styles, like business promos, real estate ads, or social media clips.
Then create a profile on Fiverr or Upwork and offer “AI Video Creation” as a service. Many small business owners need videos for their websites, YouTube channels, ads, and social media, but they do not know how to create them or do not want to learn.
You can charge $25–$100 or more per video, depending on the length and how custom it is!
12 – Build AI Receptionists for Small Businesses
This is for those of you who are business owners and feel like you may be bleeding money missing calls after hours.
You can help set up AI voice tools that answer calls, book appointments, and collect information 24/7. This could save you lost money!
To achieve this, look into tools like GoHighLevel, DialPad or AirAI.
Again, this is not for everyone — just those of you with businesses that get calls after hours that you are not able to take in real time and fear you are losing sales.
13 – Automate Sales Workflows
Are you on a sales team and feeling like you are wasting time doing small tasks? Do you feel like your work lacks organization and you'd perform better with that organization?
AI can help organize leads, personalize emails, and update customer records. If you learn how to set this up, you can also offer it as a service to others.
Most basic AI models should be able to do this.
14 – Sell Custom AI Wrapping Paper Designs
You can use AI image tools to create custom wrapping paper. Sell it on Etsy or through print-on-demand sites like these. Unique designs can stand out, especially for holidays.
Type in prompts like “cute pink birthday wrapping paper with cupcakes” or “trendy Christmas tree pattern.” Once you like the design, download it in high resolution. Then upload it to a print-on-demand site like Printify, Printful, or Zazzle. These companies print the wrapping paper and ship it for you.
You can also sell digital wrapping paper files on Etsy for people to print on their own at home. Printable files usually sell for $3–$8. Physical print-on-demand wrapping paper can sell for $12–$25 per roll, depending on size and quality.
Do some research and see what patterns and designs seem to sell best. Also, jump on trends as they happen.
15 – Write and Sell eBooks Faster
Yes, AI can write stories for you, but your stories from your own mind will be better! Still, you can use AI to put together outlines, drafts, and more to speed up your writing process.
So if it takes you months and months (or years) to write one book, AI might be able to cut that time in half for you.
I hope this post has got your wheels turning on how you can use AI to help you earn money. And I'm sure there are a ton of other methods. It's been a lot of fun looking into it!
Good luck!
