One of the most common requests I receive from readers are for those remote jobs that offer higher pay. And in this day and time, I totally get it. With the rising costs of groceries and gas, many people are having to work two jobs just to make ends meet! It seems it keeps getting more and more expensive to live every single year.
If you are needing a remote job but need at minimum $18 hourly for the work you do, read on. I have gone through the recent work at home job leads to narrow it down to just those companies that pay that much or more.
Please keep in mind that the requirements and skills will vary from company to company. Not all of these are entry-level.
Still, I encourage you to apply for anything you think you may be a fit for even if you don't tick off every box the company has listed. I have seen on several occasions where companies will make exceptions and hire people even if they aren't fully qualified on paper, just because they believe that person would be a perfect fit for the role.

Belay – Virtual Executive Assistant. All states EXCEPT California, Montana, New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania. This is a 1099 contractor role. You will work at home performing admin tasks for BELAY'S clients. Past admin experience required. Pay is $18 to $21 hourly. Also looking for remote social media managers, accounting clerks, and bookkeepers.
Speakeasy Marketing – Customer Service Reps. Anywhere in the US. MS Word proficiency, excellent communication skills and a quiet workspace with speedy, reliable internet are all required. Pay is $18 / hour.
Fanatics – Customer Support Associate. US. Customer Support Associates act as a liaison between Fanatics Collectibles, Inc. and our consumers as a single point of contact to all customer inquiries regarding products, policies and services available. This role reports directly to the Customer Service Manager. This is a remote role working EST hours. Pay is $20 to $25 hourly.
Embrace – Embrace is hiring a remote customer success specialist. Anywhere in the US. This is a full-time role.This is an entry level position. They're looking for candidates who're willing to learn with strong communication skills, and an affinity for teamwork. Pay is $20 / hour.
Grow Therapy – Grow Therapy is currently looking for remote marriage and family therapists in several different US locations. This can be full or part-time work.To qualify, you must be an LPC, LCSW, LMFT, PsyD, Ph.D. or MD, have 1-3 years of experience, and malpractice insurance. Pay is listed at between $70 to $90 hourly on Indeed, with Glassdoor estimating the salary at $66,000 yearly.
Edpuzzle – Tech Support Agent. US. You’ll be responsible for assisting the Technical Account Manager, Product, and Customer Support team with user support with Edpuzzle’s technical aspects. You have at least 3 years of experience in any technical support capacity and providing remote customer support. Competitive salary at $24.00-$28.00 per hour and a yearly salary review based on performance.
Progressive – Call Center Reps. Progressive is currently hiring work at home call center reps in the US. These are roles for people who are bilingual (Spanish/English). In this role, you will be taking inbound calls from Progressive's Spanish-speaking customers, supporting customers’ inquiries and insurance policy needs by answering questions regarding coverage, rates, billing issues, and general policy reviews while offering additional products. To qualify, you must have two years of post-secondary education or higher OR instead of that, two years of relevant work experience will also apply. Pay is either $19.50 hourly or $21 hourly depending on the role they select you for.
TutorUp – US. All TutorUp tutors are required to be certified teachers in the U.S. On a case-by-case basis they also accept experienced teachers whose certification may have lapsed, or who have retired. Experienced college professors (not teaching assistants) are exempted from the certification requirement and are welcome to apply. May earn on average $30 / hourly.
Aboutly – Interviewer. US. Part-time. You will be interviewing clients and candidates using the same proven methodology and questions each time. You will have a procedure to follow with a list of questions to ask each candidate who books an interview with you. Looking for people with experience conducting video interviews and listening carefully. Pay is $25 hourly.
