If you like trying new apps and sharing what you think, BetaTesting gives you a way to earn a little extra money doing that. You might also get invitations to test websites or physical products.

Keep in mind, you can’t count on regular work here. But if you enjoy this type of thing, you can sign up for free and apply when something interests you!

What is BetaTesting?

BetaTesting connects companies with people who can try their products and share honest feedback. Companies use that feedback to fix problems and make their products easier to use.

Depending on the test, you might answer questions, report a problem, or record your screen while explaining what you’re doing. Some projects take one sitting, while others ask you to use a product over several days or weeks.

You’ll need to follow the instructions and finish the required tasks to earn the reward. Clear, detailed feedback also helps your tester rating, which could possibly affect future invitations.

Who can sign up?

BetaTesting says people age 18 and older can join. It has a worldwide tester community, although each project may limit which countries can take part.

You’ll use your own devices, such as a computer or smartphone. The device you need depends on the test, so your profile should list what you actually own.

Tests that ask you to record your thoughts will also need clear audio, remember.

Also, BetaTesting may ask you to verify your identity before a test or before paying you. Its verification service may ask for an ID and a selfie.

How much could you earn with BetaTesting?

BetaTesting lists $15 to $30 as a common reward for a test that takes 45 to 60 minutes. Shorter tests may pay less, and longer projects may pay more. The listing shows the reward before you apply, so you’ll know what you are getting.

Most testers receive zero to five email invitations per month, according to the company. You still have to qualify and get a spot, so five invitations won’t necessarily mean five paid tests.

BetaTesting sends most rewards through Tremendous within 14 days after the whole project ends. The company running the test needs time to review your work, so finishing your part early doesn’t always mean you’ll get paid early.

You can choose from the rewards available in your country, including gift cards and some cash options.

However, the cash withdrawal fees are something to keep in mind. BetaTesting says PayPal, bank transfers, and Venmo carry a 6% fee with a $1 minimum. Most gift card options have no fee, though.

What do other people say about the BetaTesting?

There are recent payment reports from people using the site. In this July 2026 r/beermoney thread, one person listed $13 from BetaTesting for the month.

On Trustpilot, an August 2026 reviewer praised prompt payments and clear instructions, but said invitations started out slowly. Another reviewer raised concerns about tests that asked them to share personal information with outside companies.

These are individual experiences, so they won’t tell you exactly how things will go for you. It’s possible of course that you will have a totally different experience.

Before joining a test, you can read what it asks you to share and decide whether you’re comfortable with it.

Other options if this doesn’t work for you

You can also sign up with User Interviews for paid research studies. These sometimes involve testing apps or websites, while others ask you to talk with a researcher or answer questions.

Respondent is another option for paid interviews and research. Some studies look for people with certain work experience, while others focus on everyday products and habits. You’ll need to qualify for each study.

How do you apply for BetaTesting?

You can sign up here with a free account with your email, then fill out your profile with your devices, interests, and other details. BetaTesting uses that information to match you with projects.

After that, you can apply through email invitations or browse the current test listings. Completing your profile and turning in all your feedback on time can improve your chances of getting more invitations.

Good luck!
