Recently, a reader gave me the idea to search for and make a list of work at home jobs that offer sign-on bonuses. I thought this was a great idea, so I searched around today to see what was out there.
I found a handful of different remote jobs where a sign-on bonus is advertised if you are hired. Unfortunately most of the options below skew towards people with specific credentials and experience. But even if there is nothing below that is a fit for you or that you are qualified to do, keep in mind that job leads change all the time!
After I've listed the jobs offering signing bonuses below, I'm adding a section for you to explain how to keep finding more that offer them anytime you like.
The way to search for companies that offer signing bonuses is pretty simple if you are comfortable searching on various job boards, but I know there are some people that would still like instructions. So, you will find those at the bottom of this post.

Sign-On Bonuses Usually Come With a Delay
Another thing I want you to keep in mind is that, even if a company is offering you a sign-on bonus, they are almost never going to give that to you the day you start working.
Most companies will not give you your sign-on bonus money until you've worked for them for a month or more. This is because there's always a chance you won't like the job and quit within the first few weeks. Which would mean they are out that money!
It's a risk they usually won't take, although there may be some exceptions.
So just keep in mind if you find any job you'd like to apply for below that you will probably have to work for the company for a set time before you'll be given the sign-on bonus.
Work at Home Companies That Are Offering Sign-On Bonuses
CVS Health – Remote Customer Service Representatives
CVS Health is hiring a remote Customer Service Representative to help health plan members, employers, doctors, and providers with their benefits and claims questions. This is a full-time position paying $18.50 per hour.
In this role you will answer incoming questions, resolve issues, educate customers about their benefits and available resources, document all interactions, and work with other departments to improve outcomes when needed.
To qualify you need at least 6 months of customer service experience and basic computer skills. Healthcare or contact center experience is a plus but not required. A high school diploma or equivalent is needed.
The benefits package includes a $2,000 sign-on bonus after 9 months of continuous employment, plus medical, dental and vision coverage, paid time off, retirement savings options, and wellness programs. Equipment is provided. Training ranges from 4 to 18 weeks depending on your role.
Open to residents of the Central or Eastern time zones only. High speed internet is required. A background check is required.

Northwestern Medicine – Remote Outpatient Coders
Northwestern Medicine is hiring a remote Outpatient Coder II to handle complex medical coding for outpatient encounters including same day surgery and observation stays. This is a full-time day shift position paying between $29.13 and $39.32 per hour.
In this role you will review medical records and assign the correct diagnosis and procedure codes using ICD-10-CM and CPT-4 systems, send physician queries when documentation needs clarification, and meet accuracy standards of at least 95 percent.
To qualify you need an RHIT, RHIA, or CCS credential through AHIMA along with 3 to 4 years of coding experience in an acute healthcare setting.
The benefits package is really strong and includes a $10,000 sign-on bonus, $10,000 in student loan repayment, $10,000 in annual tuition reimbursement, medical, dental and vision coverage, matching 401k, and paid time off.
Open to residents of Illinois, Wisconsin, Indiana, Iowa, Missouri, Ohio, Michigan, and Florida only. A background check is required.

Files.com – Remote Onboarding Manager
Files.com is looking for a remote Onboarding Manager to lead a team of Onboarding Engineers through enterprise-level software deployments for major brands. This is a full-time leadership role focused on coaching your team, ensuring customers get up and running smoothly, and building long-term client relationships.
Day to day you will shadow customer calls, review deployment plans, identify problems early, and coach your engineers through solutions in real time.
To be considered you should have a strong background in SaaS onboarding, technical customer success, or implementation management, along with experience leading teams. This is a senior role with a high bar for candidates.
Pay ranges from $130,000 to $200,000 annually depending on experience, plus equity. Benefits include fully paid health, dental and vision coverage, 401k with 4 percent company match, paid parental leave, 20 PTO days, and a $1,000 sign-on bonus. A background check is required.

Empower – Remote Workplace Planning Consultant
Empower is hiring a remote Workplace Planning Consultant to help customers make decisions about their retirement savings accounts including 401ks and IRAs. This is a full-time phone-based role where you will guide people through key financial moments like starting or leaving a job and help them understand their account options.
In this role you will educate customers about retirement plan options, discuss account strategies that fit their savings goals, and work to deepen their relationship with Empower over time.
To qualify you need a bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience, at least one year of experience in a performance or goal-oriented role, and the ability to obtain FINRA 7, 63 and 65 licenses within the company's required timeline. Existing FINRA licenses are a plus.
Pay ranges from $58,100 to $79,850 annually as a base salary with additional bonus potential tied to performance. Benefits include a $5,000 sign-on bonus for applicants who apply before April 30th, medical, dental and vision coverage, 401k with up to 6 percent company match, tuition reimbursement up to $5,250 per year, and generous paid time off. Sentara Health – Remote Medical Assistant
Sentara Health is hiring a remote Medical Assistant to support their telehealth services team. This is a full-time day shift position where you will perform patient care tasks and administrative duties under the supervision of physicians, nurse practitioners, and registered nurses.
In this role you will provide virtual patient care, handle administrative and clerical tasks, assess patient situations, and follow department policies and procedures to ensure safe and quality care is delivered through telehealth visits.
To qualify you must have a high school diploma and one of the following certifications upon hire: Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), Registered Medical Assistant (RMA), Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA), or EMT Basic certification. No prior experience is required beyond the certification. Basic Life Support certification is required within 90 days of hire.

How to Find Remote Jobs With Sign-On Bonuses
It's really easy to find more of these jobs for yourself if nothing listed above would work for you.
The way I found the above jobs is by going to LinkedIn and then typing “work from home sign on bonus” in the keyword field. I left the location field blank so that it would show available jobs from everywhere.
You could also visit Indeed.com and search in the exact same way to find even more remote jobs with sign-on bonuses!
