Work-Whenever-You-Want Jobs From Home – [45 Legit Companies!]

I get lots of Facebook messages and emails from people who are looking for work from home jobs that don't come with strict, set schedules. This is probably the second most common request I get next to people looking for non-phone work from home jobs.

Also, please keep in mind that not every company listed below is hiring at this time. If you see something that interests you that isn't open, keep tabs on the company page and check back!

One of My FAVORITE Resources For Finding All The Remote & Flexible Jobs!

FlexJobs is one of my favorite sites to use for finding remote jobs and learning about new companies that hire remotely.

Most of what I see there when I check the listings pays well above minimum wage and are known companies. The great thing about FlexJobs is that they guarantee ALL listings are scam-free.

They list hundreds of jobs — all of which are either remote or flexible in nature — five days per week.

There are also no ads on the site!

Because there are no ads, they do charge a membership fee since that is the only way they can see a return on their job-searching efforts.

But it's cheap — you can get access for a few weeks for just $2.95 for 14 full days!

If you sign up and don't like it, it's very easy to cancel right away so you are not billed again. You can do it any point during your 14 days of checking things out.

Go here to check it out and see what you think.

If you find this helpful and want to support me directly, why not buy me a coffee? Thanks so much, and good luck! 😊

  1. I personally would like to advocate for LIVEOPS. I do this as a part time job. Commit to only 15/hrs per week. You take calls and place orders from the products “as sold on TV”. You are paid $.23 – $.50/per minute. The only investment is the headset system and a laptop. As part time, couple hrs in the am and a couple of hours on the weekends, bringing in an additional $300.mth,.

  2. Came across this on Pinterest1 It’s super interesting but I was wondering if you knew about any of these kinds of jobs that hire people working from abroad? That would be really cool and useful.

  3. This is a great list. I still have a lot to learn about what is out there for the work at home mom. BTW, your graphics are great. I found your site through Pinterest.

  4. Anna, I work for a company called Stitch Fix. The majority of positions are remote, and many allow you to set your own schedule. I am a remote stylist, pretty much a personal stylist and work whenever I can. Minimum is 15 hours a week and Max is 29 unless you are on a special team or are hired full time. No phone calls involved, but they only hire in specific geographic areas.compensation is $15 hour and the company just won an award for best culture, beating out Facebook among others. Check out the careers page at StitchFix.com.

  5. What a great list! May I ask why you don’t mention user testing sites in your list? I’ve found them a great source of income in the past.

    • I think mainly because for most it’s extra money only. Have you been able to make more than extra money doing it?

      • I did make several hundred $s a few years ago at it. Not enough to live on, but a nice extra amount nonetheless. I don’t live in the US so I’d guess US-based workers would have even more of an opportunity to make money. (I covered this in a blogpost of mine for English-speaking expats).

        • Oh, and pay is on the order of $8-12 per job, and if there are enough jobs available and you’re motivated enough, you can probably do 4-5 jobs per weekday. Jobs tend to increase in the run-up to the holiday season (say, mid-Spetember).

  6. Thank you for this list. I am trying to find ways to earn my income online because of medical reasons. So far I have not found anything that would replace my income. So, maybe I will have to do several different things. Anyway, thank you for all your hard work in research and testing. It is a Godsend to us all.

  7. Thank you so much for this ms.anna ive applied to some as we speak I hope this brings more opportunities.

  8. Thank you so much Anna!! You listed so many things I didn’t know even existed on the internet. I also use oDesk.com to make some extra money. They have full-time and part-time jobs. I would watch for scams though. I would make sure the employer has a good reputation before applying. If they ask you to work outside of oDesk DON’T DO IT! 🙂

  9. Thank you very much for compiling this list. I am wanting add some income to the house but I do not want to work outside of the house. So thank you very much again.

  10. You rock Anna! This website has been a godsend! This site pulled me away from WPLH. This site is so user friendly and the reviews are so REAL and helpful.

    • This site pulled me a way from WPLH also. That’s a good site too, but the way info is arranged was so overwhelming to me. The organization of this site is better for me.

  11. Thanks for this, Anna! There are some I’ve seen on your list that I’ll look more into. Hopefully, the ones from those that interest me will bear fruit (fingers crossed).

    Thanks again.

  12. Cool !!!!

I have been reading alot in internet about online jobs but most of them were almost similar and not worth. But after reading this post I got lot of new ways and ideas. These are great collection. Thanks Anna for creating such a wonderful resource for us.

  13. Wow! This is a huge and informative list. I knew most of the companies on here but there were some I never heard of before so this really helps. Thanks again! 🙂

  14. If you have worked for Leapforce, Appen Butler Hill, Lionbridge or any of the other similar I would say to stay away from iSoftStone. I was asked to train with them but in the end it didn’t work out because they all use the same UHRS platform. I spent 4 hours with the project manager of iSoftStone trying to resolve a problem to be able to log in to get the training guide after 4 hours of messing about and making new accounts and log ins the issue was unresolvable and I couldn’t do the training with them. I was extremely disappointed.

    • I am having the same problem right now. I have been waiting to get this resolved for two weeks now and the project manager assigned to me won’t return my emails. As for the UHRS platform, it sucks. It has too many bugs and they NEVER responded to technical difficulty reports. I don’t they ever fixed them either.

  15. Great post as always, Anna. I’ve been having a lot of success freelancing through Fiverr. It’s flexible because I decide what “gig” I offer, turn around time, etc and can turn on “vacation mode” whenever I just want a break or catch up on backlog. I can write a guest blog post about the experience if you want.

    Molly

    • That sounds great, Molly. If you decide you want to, you can send a submission to anna (at) realwaystoearnmoneyonline (dot) com.

  16. Thank you for another great list! I haven’t tried them yet, but italki.com looks like a flexible site to do language tutoring. I appreciate your efforts to keep the flow of Pina Colada’s in my hand uninterrupted ! 🙂

  17. Hi Anna,

I can’t THANK YOU enough for this. The only jobs/gigs I can do are the ones that allow me to log in/out whenever I can. Bookmarking this one for sure!

    ~Joyce

    • Thanks Joyce, so glad you find it helpful! I am anxious to add some more things to it — I know there are a ton of others. I try to keep lists like this updated once I make them since I know new companies pop up and old ones go out of business all the time.
