I want to work from home. How can you help me?

Much of the help I can offer you has been posted previously on this site. I would recommend starting here.

Who is hiring right now for work at home?

Lots of companies! I try to keep my job leads board updated a few times per week. You can keep tabs on this board to see who is actively recruiting for people to work at home.

If you have trouble remembering to check the site for new leads, you might consider becoming a subscriber. If you subscribe to my newsletter, you will get new job leads twice weekly sent right to your inbox, so no worries about missing out on any great home job opportunities. Plus, subscribers get to see some job leads that never get posted on my public job board!

I'm not from the US. Can I still apply for these jobs?

You'll find that most of the job leads and company reviews on this site are open to US only. However, I have categorized companies that are open worldwide here, and I also have a list specifically for Canadians here. I also know of a few other resources for worldwide work at home that may help you. That list is here.

My website is and has always been geared toward US citizens, seeing as how I am from the US. It was never actually intended to be a worldwide resource, which is why you won't find a ton of things here for other countries. I simply do not have the time or resources to seek out work at home jobs specific to each country in the world. Thank you for understanding.

What is up with all the ads on this site? They annoy me!

There are many other work at home websites that ask for payment in exchange for providing you with work at home job leads and information. I provide all of that for free, therefore the ads need to be in place so I can see some return on my efforts and time spent. Without the ads, this site would either not exist in it's current form or possibly not exist at all.

Do you endorse all the advertisements I see?

No. Most of my ads are managed by third parties and unfortunately I do not have complete control over what you see, so I am not able to endorse those ads. If you see anything questionable in an advertisement, don't hesitate to contact me so I can attempt to block it from appearing again.

I do offer some direct advertising as well, and these are all cleared by me before approval.

Is everything listed here legitimate?

I do my absolute best to ensure that every work from home opportunity I review on the main blog is legitimate, and I have a lot of experience researching work at home so I'm pretty good at picking out scams from legit opportunities. However, I'm not perfect and can't promise mistakes won't ever be made. If you see something listed that you know for a fact to be a scam, I absolutely want to know so I can investigate and take it down if need be.

What about your job leads board? Are these leads all legit too?

The leads you find on the job leads board may not been as thoroughly researched as the opportunities you find reviewed on the main blog. However, some things are immediate red flags for scams and I avoid posting leads that send out those warning signals. I do my best to post leads from companies I know to be legit, but as always I encourage you to do plenty of your own research before applying and be careful about sharing too much personal information if you don't have a good feeling about something.

Why didn't my comment show up?

The most likely reason is that your comment is in moderation. My blog is set up to hold comments in moderation if they were left by someone without a previously approved comment. So once I review your comment and approve it, it will show up. I try to approve comments every day or at least every other day.

If your comment was rude or disrespectful toward myself or other commenters, I reserve the right not to publish it. I also don't publish comments that are clearly posted for self-promotional purposes.

Why did you remove the link from my comment?

As mentioned above, I do not allow self-promotional comments. This means that, if you've left a link inside the body of your comment, there is always going to be a chance I removed it. Sometimes I will leave your comment, but take out your link if it points to a site I am not comfortable linking back to.

Sites I'm not comfortable linking back to include:

  • Affiliate and/or referral links (unless I've specifically stated in the post that you may leave your referral link in the comments).
  • Websites that are defamatory or libelous in nature
  • Websites that contain links to scams or money-earning opportunities that I do not trust
  • Links that point to content that is broken, removed, or not loading
  • Websites with graphic, violent, or sexual content

Note that my commenting system does allow readers to leave comments in the URL field that appears when inputting a name and address, but those links are also subject to the above rules. Thank you for understanding.

Can you find a job for me, mentor me, or coach me?

You can always email me to ask any basic questions you have regarding work at home or anything listed here. I'll do my best to respond promptly and provide some advice that will help, but due to time constraints I cannot provide mentoring/coaching services at this time.

Leisa Good, a regular contributor here, is a certified career coach. So while I cannot help you, she can! If you're interested in her coaching services, you can find more information on how to get started at her website, GBS Virtual Office Solutions. Her Google voice number is (703) 261-9216.

I have been applying for work at home jobs for months and I never hear back. Can you tell me why?

The first thing to understand is that there is a LOT of competition for work at home jobs and you are certainly not alone. Many, many people apply for different things and rarely hear back. Sometimes it's because the company in question is only looking for one or two workers and they probably receive hundreds of applications. When that is the case, chances are greater that you won't hear back. Other times, your resume could be the problem. If you keep striking out, take a close look at your resume and see how you could make it better.

I wrote an entire post about what may be wrong when you can't find a work from home job if you want to read it. I also have a resume resource page here if you need to tweak your resume.

I want to do data entry from home. Where do I start?

Most of what you are going to find regarding data entry are either scam opportunities or they pay so little it's barely worth your time to bother with. But if you are set on doing it, you can start here and read the reviews I've written of the legitimate opportunities.

How do I advertise on your site?

My advertising options are here. I do not promote anything shady or most MLM systems with the exception of direct sales. Please let me know in your initial query what sort of site/link you are wanting to advertise.
