GMR Transcription is a leading transcription company trusted by over 4,300 satisfied customers worldwide. They are looking only for general transcriptionists, not medical or legal transcriptionists.
How much does GMR Transcription pay?
They don’t disclose their pay rates until you are hired, but rates are based on the turnaround time, number of speakers, and quality of audio.
Do they require experienced transcriptionists?
They do not require experienced transcriptionists, but they have a very strict grading policy. Most people who pass the test have years of experience or have been certified in general transcription.
What is the procedure for applying?
You can go to the GMR Transcription home page and click on the careers tab at the top right corner. You can submit your resume there. Once you submit it, you will be emailed the test and instructions. The system only accepts one email address per applicant, so you can try again with another email address if you don’t make it. The email that is automatically sent to you has an attached zipped folder with all the instructions and templates you will need.
Where do you submit the test to GMR Transcription when you are done with it?
You can do it at the Careers section of the website. You’ll need your email address and the “Voice File Id” that was given to you in the email with all the testing materials. Once you log in, you will be able to upload your test transcript. Make sure that it is in “.doc” format.
When will I get the result?
If hired, you will be contacted within two weeks. If you do not hear from them, that means you were not selected.
What is the general saying about GMR Transcription?
On the business end of things, they are known for their quality transcripts with fast turn-around time. The primary complaint most potential workers seem to have is the two hours of free audio they must complete before being hired. But the company proofreads this audio file to ensure 98 percent accuracy before accepting anyone.
