Writing From Home for Crowd Content

May 3, 2013 11 comments by

write at home for crowd contentCrowd Content is a new writing site that everyone seems to be talking about on the forums. I’ve done some researching on it, and it is set up a lot like Textbroker in my opinion. I am personally a big fan of Textbroker and use them on occasion as one of my backup work from home “eggs” in my basket. :) But I know not everyone likes these kinds of sites. Currently Crowd Content is accepting writers from the US, Canada, UK, & Australia. If you are not in one of the those countries, they encourage you to apply anyway because they may have work for you

Using Article Marketplaces to Make Money Writing

April 22, 2013 2 comments by

writing-sites-that-give-you-a-bylineArticle marketplaces are sites many freelance writers occasionally use to earn money. For some, these sites are just extra money but I have heard of many freelancers that are actually able to make a full-time income through article marketplaces.

So what is an article marketplace? It’s a place to sell your content. You write articles on just about any topic and put it up for sale. People who need content will visit the site and browse through the available articles and purchase something that’s to their liking. If they buy your article, you’ll earn money. The site your article is posted on will generally take a percentage of your earnings so you won’t necessarily get the full sale price, but you…

This site is open to writers in the United States of America, Australia, Canada, United Kingdom, Singapore and New Zealand.

17 Ways to Get More Facebook Likes

April 1, 2013 20 comments by

pages to like on facebookI know a lot of you are bloggers and home business owners in addition to being work at home seekers, which means there is a good chance you might have a Facebook page set up for your business or website. A Facebook page is an excellent way to get exposure for your business and drive traffic to your website. In fact, I know that many people actually get more of their traffic from Facebook than they get from Google!

So the million dollar question is, how can you get more likes once you’ve got that page set up? You can’t really set it up and expect everyone to just flock to it. That doesn’t happen unless you already…

Using Adsense to Make Money With Your Blog

March 23, 2013 1 comment by

google adsenseIf you’re a blogger, then you probably know at least something about Adsense. This is the ad network powered by Google that almost all bloggers either use or consider using at some point to earn money with their blogs. I’ve never really written about it before even though I’ve covered a lot of other ways to make money blogging, so I figured now is a good time to get a little information out there.
How it Works
It’s very simple. Sign up for an Adsense account  (you are only allowed one) and create some ad units for your website once your account has been approved. Google makes this very easy to do, giving you all kinds of…

List of Writing Sites That Give You a Byline

March 12, 2013 0 comments by

writing-sites-that-give-you-a-bylineThere are a lot of sites out there that you can do ghost writing for, and this is fine if you have bills you need to get taken care of. But a reader mentioned to me the other day that she is really interested in advancing her writing career, and to do this she’d like to find more websites she can write for that will pay her while also giving her full credit for her work.

Actually pretty much all of the revenue-sharing sites will give you a byline, but unfortunately the money from these sites usually isn’t enough to cover many bills — especially in the beginning. So I set out to do some research and find places you can…

Write and Earn Money at Bubblews

March 7, 2013 27 comments by

write-and-earn-money-at-bubblewsI must say I am a little excited about doing some writing for Bubblews. I was browsing around the Freelance Writing section of the WAHM forum yesterday and saw where it was being discussed. Most of the feedback was very positive and it sounded easy enough, so I decided to give it a try. I am pretty pleased so far!

International Readers – Bubblews is open worldwide! However your posts do need to be written in English.
How it Works
First off, this is writing for revenue share, not upfront pay. And at this point in time I’m not going to consider it as anything other than extra money, but it does appear that it may pay…

top 10 online jobs for writersGuest Post by: Victoria Heckstall

Writing for money is a tough job. Writing for online publications is even harder. Even if you can avoid all of the scams, there’s still the matter of being paid fairly. The industry is trending towards paying writers less and less. Unfortunately, you’re a really good writer and you deserve more – most places don’t want to pay for quality work. You want to avoid those places and work with some of the best, most reliable, companies on the web.

Using Picket Fence to Get Traffic to Your Blog

February 14, 2013 7 comments by

I have had my blog registered at Picket Fence for quite a while. The way it works is pretty simple — you just sign up and fill out your blog details. Upload your blog button (if you have one) and put in a small description of what your blog is about. Then, you can paste the Picket Fence blog button onto your website somewhere. If anyone clicks the button, that counts as a virtual “vote” for your website on Picket Fence. The more votes you have, the higher your blog will rank in their enormous list of blogs. Supposedly the higher your blog ranks in the list, the more traffic you will likely receive. Your blog needs to fit…

6 Sites That Pay You to Blog

February 11, 2013 3 comments by

paid-to-blog1I really like the “blog” style of writing because it’s so much more relaxed. You can write in first person and just be yourself. I can’t speak for everyone, but I also find it a lot easier to get through an article when it’s written like a blog because there usually aren’t as many little rules to follow.

If you want to write blog-style articles and get paid, there are quite a few websites out there that will give you the opportunity. Please note that some of these are just going to pay in revenue-share or base your pay on the traffic your content generates while others will pay a flat rate.

Lots of Ways to Earn With Knoji

February 8, 2013 8 comments by

earn-money-with-knojiKnoji is a website that you used to be known as Factoidz. When the site was called Factoidz, the only way to earn was through writing articles for revenue share. This has changed, and now there are several different things you can do to earn money with Knoji. When Factoidz morphed into Knoji, it became more of a shopping/consumer help website rather than just a general article database.

This sounds very similar to writing articles for Consumer Search, another site I posted about recently that seems to never hire anyone but pays well…
