Using Your Social Media Accounts to Make Money Online

June 11, 2013 0 comments by

earn money at home using your social media networksI often get asked by readers how they can earn money with Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, etc. It seems like a really appealing way to earn since, let’s face it, most of us are on and off of these sites multiple times per day! Why not get paid to do what you’re already spending time doing?

Before I jump into all the different sites you can use, keep in mind that this is probably extra money only. I don’t think there are too many people making a living by playing on Facebook or Twitter. I’m not saying nobody is, but most people likely are not.

Most of what I’m going to list involves sharing…

How to Find Social Media Jobs From Home

November 30, 2012 10 comments by

social media jobs from homeSocial media jobs are very sought after at the moment! And lucky for you, a lot of businesses are currently recruiting for it because they don’t really know how — or don’t have time — to manage the social media end of their businesses themselves. Of course different companies are going to have different requirements, but it is often the case that they are willing to hire people to do this from home. And you will of course need to be able to show that you do have some experience in social media — the more the better in fact.
Where to Find the Work
I see social media jobs pop up on Craigslist all the time. Remember…

An Overview of Klout

November 15, 2012 5 comments by

overview of kloutFor several months now I’ve been a part of something called Klout. When I initially connected my social media accounts to it, I did not fully understand what it was and I didn’t bother to participate very often. All I knew was that I had something called a “Klout Score” that would fluctuate anywhere between 1 to 100, and that my score would go up and down and that it all had something to do with social media. Sure I saw people mention Klout on the web here and there and I would get an occasional “Plus K” from someone, but I didn’t really know what that was all about nor was I very interested to know…

Getting Paid to Pin!

September 21, 2012 5 comments by

get paid to pinI have mentioned this site in passing already several times, but I finally got an offer to pin something so I can now go into a little bit of detail on how it works. Pinbooster is currently in beta so you can probably expect some changes to take place before the site fully launches.
How It Works
First you will need to request an invite. I can’t say for sure how long it will take to get your invite. I got one I think the same day I asked for one.

Once you’re in, you can set up your account. This will involve setting up your profile which will include writing a short blurb about…

Make Money on Facebook With the Shopcade App

June 30, 2012 1 comment by

I recently found out about another app that lets you earn through Facebook called Shopcade. Now, this one for sure won’t be as lucrative as Cloud Crowd, but it might be kind of fun to use if you like products and shopping and also recommending things to buy to your friends.
How it Works
First off, you need a Facebook account. What you do basically is create your own little shop on Facebook through the app and add products you like to it. You start with 800 points, which lets you add eight products. The more points you earn, the more products you can add to your shop. You of…

I know I have left a few of you hanging about “social media.” I’ve learned a lot over the last month and I wanted to share with you all my findings. First of all, whoever said social media was easy has a lot to learn. There is new information about social media every day, and it’s my job to try and read it all. It can be overwhelming to try and understand Pinterest, Google+, Facebook, Twitter and the 500 other social media outlets out there. I’m lucky to work with…

Social Media ExpertGuest Post by: Jess Weaver

I have been a freelance writer for about 14 months now. I decided to branch out and add to my list of freelance specialties. I was lucky enough to work with a company that allowed me to work on their social media pages. I currently do Facebook, Google+, Twitter and Pinterest for this client. It’s actually a lot of fun and something I would recommend getting into.
Where can I get practice?
What better way to get practice than to work on your own social media outlets? Let’s say this … if you do not have your own social media outlets … then who will hire you to do theirs? Think of your…

How Can You Get a Job as a Community Moderator?

February 14, 2012 2 comments by

How Can You Become a Community Moderator? When looking for work at home job leads, I occasionally see listings for community moderators. If you can get it and the position is paid, this could be decent non-phone work.
What is a community moderator?
A community moderator is a person who sort of “polices” a forum/message board or any other type of online community. The responsibilities may vary depending on who you are moderating for, but typically you might help settle disputes between other forum members if they get out of hand, deal with forum “trolls” and spammers, lock threads when necessary, and move threads to the appropriate sections when something gets posted in the wrong area of a forum. You may also…

Updated Review of MyLikes

February 13, 2012 6 comments by

Review of MyLikesBack in April of last year, I did a review on a site called MyLikes. At the time, I didn’t have a lot of info because, unfortunately, I just could not get the site to work for me. Since then, they’ve changed things a lot and everything seems to be much more straightforward. I am no longer having trouble using the site, and I actually like it pretty well although I don’t think you could ever earn more here than just a little extra change.
How does MyLikes work?
You sign up as a “social publisher” and find things you’re interested in. There are all sorts of different campaigns to choose from in a variety of different…

Get Paid to Share Links With Share Magnet

January 27, 2012 26 comments by

Get Paid to Share LinksShare Magnet contacted me yesterday about their site, and I’m so glad they did! I have long been a fan of sites like My Likes and Sponsored Tweets where you have the opportunity to get paid for sharing links via social networks. But this site takes that concept and really improves it in my opinion. Advertisers often fail at getting the word out on their own, but word of mouth advertising from the average Joe tends to go pretty far. Think about it — if a friend or family member recommends something to you, you’re usually much more likely to purchase it or try it out than you…
