Mystery Shopping For A Closer Look

November 11, 2011 2 comments by Anna T

Mystery Shopping for A Closer LookA Closer Look is a very reputable mystery shopping company. They’ve been around since 1994 and while they do offer retail mystery shops, they also tend to have a lot of restaurant shops (free meal for you!) and motel shops (a free night away from home!). The feedback on this particular company is mostly positive, so if you are either interested in or enjoy doing mystery shopping, this is one you might want to sign up with.

In general, mystery shopping work does not pay well enough for it to be considered a full-time job, but I have heard of people making anywhere from an extra $100 to $400 per month (and probably even more…

College Students Can Get Work Through Agent Anything

November 8, 2011 0 comments by Anna T

Work for College StudentsAgent Anything is a unique opportunity created for college students only. Basically, a person who needs an errand done posts it on the board at Agent Anything and waits for a college student to claim it (the site refers to these as “missions”). The mission gets done, the college student gets paid, and everyone is happy (hopefully). According to Agent Anything, this service is here because there are busy people who need various tasks and errands done with no time to do them and college students who need cash. The site brings these two groups of people together to benefit one another.
How much do missions pay?
Mission pay varies. For some missions, you’re asked to create an…

Merchandising for American Greetings

November 1, 2011 10 comments by Anna T

Merchandising for American GreetingsIf you saw my post yesterday on merchandising for Hallmark, you might be interested to know that you can also do greeting card merchandising for American Greetings. The work is similar — you stock cards, order cards, and straighten up displays. They give you a handheld scanner to use for doing inventory. The work is all part-time and done on your own schedule provided that the stores you are to visit are open when you choose to work. Read this post about merchandising if you need more information on what it actually is.

Merchandising for Hallmark

October 31, 2011 12 comments by Anna T

Merchandising for HallmarkA while back I wrote a little about merchandising as a flexible way to earn money. The work isn’t done at home or online, but it’s ideal for people who need flexible schedules because it’s often the case that the work can be done on your own time. Hallmark is one major company that regularly hires merchandisers to come in and maintain the greeting card departments in various retail stores.
What does the job of a retail merchandiser for Hallmark entail?
If you do merchandising for Hallmark, you’ll be restocking cards, putting in orders for cards that have run out, and straightening up greeting card displays. You’ll be given a small hand-held computer while you work for…

Court Research for Jellybean Services

Court Research for Jellybean ServicesMy recent post on court research got me looking a little closer at some of the more popular court research companies. One in particular that I’ve heard a little about is Jellybean Services. They have been around since 1996 and are based in Michigan. They hire court researchers as independent contractors from all over the United States. Jellybean Services offers other types of work apart from court research, some that you can actually do from your home, but this post focuses on court research. Here is a little information about working for Jellybean Services:
Pay
Jellybean services pays you per record pulled — not per hour. This is…

Get Paid For Doing Courthouse Research

September 7, 2011 9 comments by Anna T

Get Paid for Doing Court ResearchCourthouse research is another very flexible job you can do outside of the home mostly on your own time. While the work is nothing alike, I do sort of throw this kind of work into the same category as merchandising when it comes to working from home because while the work isn’t done in the home, you are mostly free to pick your own hours and this makes it an attractive option for people who want to work at home because they can’t have a job with a set schedule for whatever reason. While I have done courthouse research for the company I used to work for, I have never done…

Working as a Merchandiser

August 25, 2011 8 comments by Anna T

This blog covers mostly ways to earn money at home, but there are also a few different types of jobs you can get outside the home that are very flexible and allow you to work as an Independent Contractor and mostly on your own time. Jobs like this are definitely worthy of mention here — mystery shopping is one that I have already covered a little, but I also want to talk to you about merchandising.
What do merchandisers do?
Have you ever been to Sam’s Club, Target, or Wal-Mart and been asked to sample a product? Have you ever seen someone stocking shelves, setting up magazines, or arranging signs for display that you thought were employees but it turns out they weren’t? These are merchandisers. They are…

Mystery Shopping With About Face

August 21, 2011 4 comments by Anna T

About Face is a mystery shopping company recommended on the mystery shopping post here that was written by one of the followers of this blog. They are a reputable company to sign up for shops with! While it is true that making a living doing mystery shopping is not realistic, I think participating in shops for several different companies is a good idea for boosting your earning potential. Here are some more details on About Face:
Requirements

  • 18 years old or older
  • Must agree to be an Independent Contractor for About Face (no taxes will be taken out of your earnings)
  • They will need your social security number when you sign up. This

About Mystery ShoppingGuest Post

When my youngest child was born six and a half years ago, I became a stay at home mom. After about a year, I wanted something to do that would allow me to still be with my child, yet make a little extra money at the same time. I heard about mystery shopping and decided to do some research. It took me weeks, but the places I discovered put me on the right path. I got lucky compared to some who are taken in by scams, which I will discuss a little in a bit.

Many are skeptical, but mystery shopping is a legitimate way to make…

Get Paid to Do Rent Surveys For Pierce Eislen

July 7, 2011 24 comments by Anna T

rent surveys

If you’re someone who can’t apply for jobs to take calls from home because there is nothing you can do about background noise, then you might want to consider doing rent surveys for Pierce Eislen! This is a company that is totally OK with background noise and would in fact prefer it. Why? Because they want the people on the other end of the line to believe that you’re a regular person who might have loud pets, kids, etc. since you’ll be asking various questions about rental property as though you might be interested in renting. In truth, you’re just gathering information for Pierce Eislen so they…

InteliChek – Get Paid for Placing Calls to Businesses

June 3, 2011 11 comments by Anna T

intelichek get paid for placing callsInteliChek is an interesting money-earning opportunity. In a nutshell, you get paid for placing calls to various businesses from your home phone. The best part is that you’re NOT trying to sell them anything — instead, you’re usually going to be making random inquiries about how much things cost, what hours businesses are open, and if these businesses have certain products available. You might be calling companies from anywhere in the United States, which is why it’s better for you to have unlimited long distance if you decide to try this. If you’ve ever looked into work at home phone jobs, then you probably know that companies like West at Home
