Short Tasks & Writing/Editing Jobs at CrowdSource

March 14, 2014 10 comments by Anna T

Work from home doing short tasks for CrowdSourceCrowdSource is a company that recently bought out Cloud Crowd (do you remember that one?). This company hires home-based workers to do short tasks as well as writing and editing jobs. Some of you may already be familiar with CrowdSource thanks to the many different tasks they post at Amazon Mturk. I know I’ve seen them and done a few on there myself. The work you do for CrowdSource is through the Amazon Mturk platform as of now. However, I read on their blog that they are working on something that will allow you to do work for CrowdSource

Making Money With MicroJobsYou may already be familiar with the term “microjob,” but if you’re not, it’s basically just a small, one-time job you complete for an amount of money that varies. Some microjobs pay well but many pay very, very little. A lot of people who work from home enjoy doing microjobs here and there for different apps, websites, and companies because it usually means a lot of flexibility and no commitment.

Earn Extra Cash as a Yovia Influencer

June 5, 2013 2 comments by Anna T

earn-money-as-a-yovia-influencerYovia is a neat little website you can register with and earn a little money for answering questions and doing little tasks. I found it the other day while searching job leads (this is how I end up finding a lot of things I decide to review), and it looked like fun, so I signed up to try it out.

Here are some details on how it works:
How to Register
When you sign up, you do have to link your Facebook account. I did not see any way around this, so if you don’t do Facebook and don’t want to make a Facebook account, this opportunity won’t be for you.

MobileWorks task siteUpdate November 15, 2013 – MobileWorks has changed quite a bit since this review was originally written. Before you sign up, you may want to read the comments below the post. There has been a lack of communication between workers and the company.

If you like work at home on sites like Mturk or Clickworker doing short tasks, you may be interested to know there is a new site out called MobileWorks that is a little similar.
How much does MobileWorks pay workers?

Amazon MTurk HITS Worth Doing – Updated!

February 27, 2012 20 comments by Anna T

Amazon MTurk HITS Worth DoingAmazon MTurk (if you’re not already aware) is a short task site. You sign up as a worker and then browse through all the different little tasks there are to do, which might range from writing to data entry and everything in between. I often direct people who are looking for data entry to this site because work for it sometimes pops up here. Amazon MTurk will pay you with either a direct deposit to your bank account (you have to have at least $1 to get that transferred over) or in Amazon money to add to your gift balance.

I’ve been doing some…

A Review of Clickworker

Review of ClickworkerClickworker (a company based out of Germany) will pay you to do short tasks. This is non-phone, and all you need to complete the work is your computer and internet connection. Clickworker appears to be pretty similar to Amazon MTurk and other sites where you log on at your leisure and complete short tasks for pay. I’ve seen a lot of discussion about this site over the past few months and it seems to be becoming fairly popular. Here are some more details on how it works:

The amount you earn will depend on the project you’re working on. In their FAQ, Clickworker says they think…

6 Short Task Sites For Extra Cash

November 7, 2011 19 comments by Anna T

Short Task Sites for Extra CashDo you like earning extra cash for doing easy things? I definitely do — I started using mTurk a few years ago and still log on to this day on occasion just to get some Amazon money built up because the work is, for the most part, so easy. A lot of it doesn’t pay well, but you’ll occasionally come across a few gems that do in there. It’s certainly worth signing up to see what’s available from time to time to earn a little extra.

There are a lot of other short task sites out there in addition to mTurk, but I’ve never really reviewed too many others so I decided to put together…

Amazon mTurk – Get Paid for Doing Small Tasks

May 26, 2011 20 comments by Anna T

Amazon mTurk (Amazon Mechanical Turk) is a site where you can sign up as a worker and earn money for doing short little odd jobs. The things offered there vary greatly — you might be doing data entry, search engine evaluation, and even writing work. I’ve personally done all three of those things through Amazon and then some. The way it works is pretty simple: People who need small tasks done requiring human and not computer intelligence can post these jobs up on the job board at mTurk. As a worker, you can sort through these jobs, select the ones you want to do, and get started. Some of the work is fun, while some of it is rather tedious and…

short tasks for microworkersMicroworkers is a task site, similar to Cloud Crowd. You get paid for each “task” you complete. Some things you might do on Microworkers are “like” various Facebook pages, post things on forums, follow people on Twitter, and so on. It’s pretty easy stuff.

The pay is per task. Easier things pay less, and harder things pay more. Some tasks might pay as little as .10 cents each, while others might pay a few dollars.
