Get Paid to Pick Out Domain Names

March 18, 2013 0 comments by

pickydomainsPicky Domains is a website I’ve known about for quite some time that claims you can possibly get paid just for becoming a contributor on the site and helping pick out domain names. Some people have a knack for this and some don’t (I know I’ve always had trouble thinking up good, catchy domain names for my sites!). I wanted to dig a little deeper into Picky Domains and find out how it works. Here is some information for you if the idea of getting paid for domain name selections interests you.

International readers – Picky Domains is open worldwide!
How It Works
Signing up is easy. You just register on the site as a contributor (free) and fill out…

BoostCTR Update – My Experience and Tips

August 6, 2012 18 comments by

Get Paid to Write AdsNow is a good time for me to give an update on my experience with BoostCTR since I have been actively using the site. I did a write-up on them back in May, but hopefully this will provide more detail.

If you never read the review I wrote,  you can check it out here. But basically BoostCTR is a site where you can potentially get paid for writing short ads. You know the ads by Google that you see on some webpages that are just text? Those are the kinds of ads you write here. These are short and you only have to come up with 30…

Five More Crowdsourced Contest Sites

five more crowdsourced contest sitesLate last year I wrote about several different crowdsourced contest sites you can use for extra money. One of those was Prizes.org that recently announced they are shutting down operations.

Opinions on these kinds of sites vary — some people feel they are a waste of time because there is no guarantee you’ll win, but then others actually enjoy participating and have found spending time on them is worth their while because they do win sometimes. I have personally won a few times from Prizes.

If you’re interested in trying out these kinds of sites, I have found a few more apart from those mentioned in my original list linked above:

Get Paid to Write Ads for BoostCTR

Get Paid to Write AdsYou know those little text ads you see on most websites? There is actually a way to get paid for writing those! And yes, this would be pretty easy writing because the text is very short, usually not more than 30 to 40 words. A site I stumbled across a few days ago called BoostCTR will let you apply as a writer for these ads. However, this is actually more of a crowdsourcing thing than upfront pay writing.
How it Works
After applying and being accepted as a writer, you log in and search for ad-writing contests to enter. You’ll be given all the information you need to write a good…

Get Paid to Pick Out a Company Name

February 25, 2012 2 comments by

Get Paid to Pick Out a Company NameNot sure how much real earning potential exists here, but it sounds like it could be fun! Naming Force will let you enter contests to pick out the perfect name for different businesses, companies, and domains. Every contest on the site has a cash award offered to the person who can pick out the best name. If you’ve ever tried to name something, then you probably know that it’s no easy thing to do. In fact, I have struggled and struggled to come up with names for the different websites I’ve started. Something that seems like it should be so simple can literally take hours or even days! So that’s why there…

My Experience With Prizes OrgUpdate Nov. 5, 2012 – Prizes.org no longer exists. However, there are similar sites out there you can use if you are interested in crowdsourced contests.

I posted a little while back about Prizes.org and several other similar sites you can use for a chance at some extra money, but at the time I had not actually tried Prizes out. Well, since then I’ve had a chance to really try Prizes so I wanted to share my experience and also give you a little bit more detail on how it works and the money-earning potential it has for you.
How It Works
In short, you create an account and look for different…

Prizes.org and Six Other Crowdsourcing Contest Sites

Prizes.org and Other Crowdsourcing Contest SitesUpdate Nov. 5, 2012 – Prizes.org no longer exists, but the sites linked below should still be working if you want to enter some crowdsourced contests.

Prizes.org is a website that is becoming very popular. It’s technically a crowdsourcing contest site that is owned by Google. The way it works is pretty simple — when you sign up, you can create your own contests, enter contests others have created, or do both! Of course there is no guarantee you’ll win the contests you enter, but if you find something you know you’d be pretty good at, it’s worth a shot. And sometimes the dollar amount is pretty respectable. I’ve seen everything from “Design a logo…

StartUpLift ReviewWhat is StartUpLift?
StartUpLift is a site that allows people who are working on websites to feature them for users to review. Companies who choose to feature their start up sites on StartUpLift have the option of offering cash awards to the people who leave the best, most helpful reviews on their sites. The site has been on the web since the later half of 2010.

How much does StartUpLift pay?
If you sign up to review websites for StartUpLift, you’ll see that most companies give around $5 for good, detailed reviews. I occasionally see awards available for $10, but companies usually offer a more limited number of these. Additionally, some companies choose not to give awards at…
