Can you tell me about Kitsy Lane and the kinds of products that you sell?
Kitsy Lane is a new company offering jewelry and accessories from up-and-coming designers and trendy house brands at up to 60% off. The styles range from classic to rocker chic. The prices range from under $20 to over $500. There is truly something for everyone at Kitsy Lane.
What makes Kitsy Lane different from other direct selling opportunities? Why choose it over anything else?
The company provides an online selling platform to their Boutique Owners who can then customize their “stores” and hand-pick the items they want to feature. Each week there is a Flash Sale, which also includes accessories chosen by the Boutique Owner. This allows for every online shop to be a little unique in what they are offering. What is available in my store is likely going to be different than what is available on the next Boutique Owner’s website.
The Kitsy Lane business opportunity is also highly focused on “social selling” as opposed to home parties, and they allow a lot of freedom in how you can promote your business online. They encourage blogging, online advertising and social marketing. If you are familiar and comfortable with internet or affiliate marketing, there is a good chance Kitsy Lane will fit seamlessly into your existing online business plan. If you don’t like Facebook, Pinterest or Tumblr, Kitsy Lane may not be your perfect business.
What is the percent of commission you get from your sales?
Commissions are set on individual pieces. As a Boutique Owner, you can earn up to 25% commission on personal sales.
How much does it cost to get started? Do you get a kit when you sign up?
There is no cost to join. You are strongly encouraged to take advantage of the one-time discount offered to new Boutique Owners as this will allow you to familiarize yourself with the company’s ordering process and products. It is hard to make sales when you do not know what you are promoting.
Are home parties necessary if you are going to be successful with Kitsy Lane?
Home parties are not part of the Kitsy Lane business model. However, a Boutique Owner should not overlook the opportunity to make offline sales. Show off those discounted pieces when you are out and about. Have business cards made with your Boutique URL. Kitsy Lane also offers flyers that Boutique Owners can print. Take advantage of offline opportunities, even if they are not in a home party setting.
Is there a monthly minimum you must meet in order to stay active?
At this time there are no sales quotas. However, Boutique Owners need to keep their stores and weekly Flash Sales updated or risk account termination.
