in Work at Home News

changes at key for cash I shared this bit of news on my Facebook page yesterday, but figured I’d share it here too for anybody that missed it. Apparently Key for Cash is going to be changing. Not sure what this means yet, but it will be interesting to see. Here’s the info, taken from their site:

Exciting News! KeyForCash will soon be rebranding as VirtualBee.

But never fear! We are rebranding to expand your work opportunities and give you an even better working experience. VirtualBee builds on the proven track record of our website that has been paying people to work from home for over a decade. The current website address of www.keyforcash.com will continue to work, but will redirect you to workers.virtualbee.com.

We expect this transition to happen by this Saturday, September 15th.

Happy Keying,

The KeyForCash (soon to be VirtualBee) Team

If you’re not familiar with Key for Cash, they are one of the few legit data entry companies out there. The pay is not great which is why I don’t log in much, but I still do kind of enjoy the work. If they paid more, I’m sure I’d be working every bit I could there.

Anyway, I don’t know what these changes will mean. I sort of doubt it means better pay, but there’s nothing wrong with being optimistic! I guess I will log in on Saturday or Sunday to see what “Virtual Bee” is all about.

For now, you can check out Virtual Bee here and also “like” them on Facebook and follow them on Twitter.

Update 9/15/2012 – The transition has been made. So far, everything is the same except for the way the site looks.

I signed up there and took the test, any idea how long it takes you to know if you are “invited to the paid portion of the website”. My score was 96%, do you think that’s high enough or I should take it again? Couldn’t decide whether to call ones where it was just a word on the numbers test either “blank” by typing /,or just hit enter.

You say they don’t pay much, how much is not much?

Scott, I’m not sure what your percentage has to be, but you can take the test again every day.

The pay varies depending on the type of data entry you’re doing. I can’t say for sure what it is for each type, but I know I did a little on there yesterday and the rate for typing alphanumeric characters was just thirty cents for every 1000 keystrokes.

I logged in today and I really like the new layout. Looks more professional and hopefully the upgrade means more pay. Even if not, it still is a fun site to earn some extra cash from time to time.

Yes, I enjoy the work but not the pay. I hope to see some more changes soon.
