This is the last of the sweepstakes series posts for a while. I may add another in the future if I can think of anything else to say on the subject, but for now I think most of the vital stuff is covered. I hope you have all learned a little and maybe won a few things! If you haven’t won anything, just remember that there’s no way to win if you don’t enter, so for sure give it a try occasionally.
Here’s what we’ve covered:
Part One, Getting Started – This post should help get you all set up and ready to start entering lots of sweepstakes!
Part Two, Types of Sweeps – This covers the many, many different types of sweepstakes that are out there.
Part Three, Entry Frequency – How much should you enter? Definitely don’t beat yourself up for not doing it often enough because once a hobby starts feeling like a chore, it isn’t fun anymore.
Part Four, Blog Giveaways – I win from blogs quite regularly, but not everyone likes to enter these kinds of sweeps.
Part Five, Avoiding Missed Prizes – This is an overview of common mistakes people make that often lead to missing out on prizes.
Part Six, Sweepstakes & Taxes – No one wants to think about paying taxes on wins, but it’s reality unfortunately.
Part Seven, Some Sweeps to Enter – This is just a list of sweepstakes you can enter. Please keep in mind that some of these may be expired now.
Where to Enter Sweeps?
Remember that my top two recommendations for finding sweepstakes to enter online are Sweepstakes Advantage and Online-Sweepstakes.com!
Some Final Thoughts
This hobby is not for everyone. In fact, most people who decide to try this don’t keep it up. It’s one of those things that, if you don’t see a fast return on your efforts, it’s just hard to keep going. I have honestly had a lot of trouble keeping it up this time around, but I have won a few smallish prizes so that does keep me motivated.
I have figured out that to make this work, you have to be patient, persistent, and optimistic. But regardless you are still going to have days when you don’t want to bother, and I am much more relaxed about this hobby this time around because I don’t sweat it when I don’t want to bother with it. It’s not a job — it’s a hobby, and that means I should only spend time on it when I can and when I really want to.
What about you? Have you won anything lately? Do you enter every day or just when you feel like it as I do?

Hi, Ana! I’ve been reading/following your blog for some time and I am a fan! I’ve listed your blog as one of the 15 WAH blogs for the Inspiring Blog Award.

Patti, what an honor!! Thank you SO much! I truly appreciate the mention and wow, I am in great company with some of the others.
I haven’t won anything yet but I’m one of those who don’t have time to spend a whole lot of time on it. I do it when i feel like it. I never have any luck winning anything ever anywhere no matter what sweeps or contests I enter. I think only thing i have ever won in my life is a movie at a work Chrismas party..lol..I think that’s why i get discouraged and optimistic.
As someone who has been entering (and winning ) for over 14 years, I can vouch for every one of the tips you’ve offered. Patience is so hard when you want to win, but it’s best to chill out and enjoy the entering process. Thanks for passing on all of this great advice! (Oh, and I included this post in week’s 1099 Top 10! I though my readers would enjoy.)
