Writing For Article Document

Article Document is a content site with many different writing assignments available. This one is in a way similar to Textbroker, The Content Authority, etc. because you are writing articles for Article Document’s clients, and the amount you earn is based on your writing level. However, there are some notable differences in the way this content site works.

How much does Article Document pay?

Your earnings depend on your writing level, and all new writers begin at level 5. The assignments new writers have access to are 300-word blog posts, and these do not qualify for upfront payments. You can only earn revenue share/royalties from the blog posts you write. After you have established yourself and increased your writing level to 8, you can begin accepting the upfront pay assignments, which start out at $.01 cent a word. The higher the level, the more you can make from your articles.

When does Article Document pay?

You are paid once a month, on the 25th, for work completed the previous month. So for example if you completed articles in May, you’d see the money on the 25th of June.

The only payment method available currently is Paypal.

Can you write for Article Document if you are not a U.S. citizen?

You have to be a U.S. citizen to write for Article Document.

What about taxes?

You sign up as an Independent Contractor so if you earn more than $600 in a year, you’ll have to report your earnings when you file your taxes. You will be asked to fill out a W9 before you can begin writing.

What kinds of articles do you write?

The topics will vary. While doing my research, I’ve seen where their writers have claimed there’s a lot to choose from in many different subjects, so hopefully you won’t have any trouble finding something you can write if you decide to sign up.

The articles do come with deadlines, and there is a 48-hour turnaround time, so make sure that if you accept something you can have it done in a few days.

How does signing up work?

It is not difficult to sign up, and there is no formal approval process to go through. You just create an account and then you are in their system as a level 5 writer. They will review your work periodically and increase your writing level if your quality is good. I have read that their editors are pretty easy to work with and they do provide constructive feedback to help you get better, which should make it easier for you to increase your level since you’ll know where you can improve your writing.

What do people say about Article Document?

On the positive side, I’ve read that the articles are mostly easy and the editors are fairly lenient. On the negative side, the primary complaints I see are coming from people who are not happy with the pay and also don’t like getting paid just once a month.

I too am writing for article document. I find the available topics is really quite limited and the rating is not always obvious or useful. The average for an hour of work is $8.00 to $10.00 for your efforts. So far I have not been paid yet although the company did sell my work and receive their payment. This company pays, on average, less than minimum wage although it is a resource for building experience in the industry or work at home while raising children.

I have been working for article document for a couple of weeks so far and love it. At first they ignored the Blogger articles I submitted for editing but once I put in a help ticket they got through them. They tend to review Journalist articles first. I started out at a 5 rating and was allowed to do both Blogger and Journalist assignments. Be sure to use sites like Grammarly or PaperRater to check for grammar as Word won’t catch everything and the less mistakes you have the higher rated you will get and can move up faster.
