Really Truly Free Credit Score

credit sesame Sometimes we all get curious about our credit score. I know I do!  But finding out what the number actually is can be tricky. You can get it for free at least once a year from any of the three major credit bureaus through the mail, but if you don’t want to wait on that there is Credit Sesame that will give it to you right now.

I know what you are thinking because I’ve been there. These free credit score things you find online either aren’t really free or it is free but they make you give out a credit card number where they will bill you in about a month — unless you remember to cancel it (I’ve been burned by those offers myself).

And let’s say you do remember to cancel. You’ll have to call the company, wait on hold for a rep, and then listen to them beg you not to cancel for ten minutes (they’ll offer you every kind of discount under the sun and you just can’t get rid of ‘em).

This is where Credit Sesame is different. There is none of that. You make your account, put in your details, and then you get your credit score. No credit card number required, no free trial to sign up for, nothing. Credit Sesame will also allow you to keep tabs on your score month to month (again with no charge) and will also help you manage your debt and spending.

Keep in mind that Credit Sesame only pulls your score from Experian. There are two other bureaus besides Experian and your score may be different on those, but it should still give you a great idea of roughly where you’re at.

I have been using this for a while and its great. Its hard to find a site for a totally free credit score. Credit reports are easy to get for free even after you get your yearly free ones from http://www.annualcreditreport.com. But its difficult to find any for the score. I also use Credit Karma and Quizzle for free credit reports and scores. They are also free as well.
