What is Minute Workers?

What is Minute WorkersMinute Workers is a short task site. You can get paid there for completing small tasks. The site opened up in 2009 and is based out of the U.K., but workers worldwide are welcome. Minute Workers reminds me a lot of another similar site called Microworkers.

How much does Minute Workers pay?

Most of what I’m seeing ranges from .10 cents a task up to $1, but I’m sure this varies depending on what’s there.

How do you get paid?

You can request your money via either Paypal or AlertPay once you have at least $10 in earnings. If you want your money sooner, you can request it at $2, but they consider this an early withdrawal and they deduct a 10 percent fee from what they pay you when they do it this way. They process payments on the 15th and 30th of each month.

What kind of tasks are available to do?

I see a lot there asking you to take a survey, sign up for offers, etc. I’m pretty sure that a lot of these people requesting the work done are affiliates that will earn money themselves once you do these things (much more than what they’re paying you). But this is basically how the GPT sites (even reputable ones like Swagbucks) are set up. When you complete the offers, they give you money, but they get much more.

Minute Workers will also pay you posting in their forums. It’s not much, just a penny per post/thread started. You also can’t earn from this until you’ve already got 50 posts under your belt.

Just be careful if you do any of these and don’t sign up for anything asking you for too much personal information. This goes for all short task sites, even extremely reputable ones like MTurk. I personally would avoid the jobs asking you to download things, and if you do any asking you to sign up for an offer, be sure to use a junk email address if you can to avoid possible spam.

Is Minute Workers open worldwide?

Yes. As long as you can get paid with either Paypal or Alert Pay, you can sign up here.

Does Minute Workers have a referral program?

They do have a referral program. If you refer someone to sign up, they will give you five cents. When that person completes their first job, you get another ten cents, so there is potential to earn 15 cents for every person you refer. (Please note that the links to Minute Workers in this post are NOT my referral links)

Are people getting paid?

Minute Workers does have a section in their forum where workers can post screenshots when they get paid, and there appear to be plenty there.

What is the real money potential with this site?

I would say definitely just extra money. The tasks don’t pay all that much, although many of them do look pretty easy to finish.

Are there any other reviews on Minute Workers?

Yes, I’ve come across quite a few. Some positive, some neutral, and some bad. I’ve written mine to be neutral because I have no strong feelings on this opportunity one way or the other. I think it’s great that you can ask for your money if you need to with just $2 in your account and that the tasks are easy, but I also didn’t really like the look of some of the tasks offered. For example, the ones asking you to download things. But if you want to get some other viewpoints, here are some links I found:

Ironically, I signed up for this just yesterday – and after looking over the tasks, decided it wasn’t worth it. I’d say easily 60% or more of the available tasks involved downloading something.

I agree with you on this one. Downloading something that might give you a virus is not worth it for .10 cents. Also a lot of the tasks are misleading, they ask you to sing up something and provide copy of email when you wont receive one. Microworkers is the best small tasks site in my opinion. They have stricter rules and overall I have not had problems with not being credited.
