MyLikes – Earn By “Liking” Things

My LikesWhat is MyLikes?

MyLikes is a relatively new site — it’s only been around since early 2010. They will pay you for “liking” the things you like when you post links to the things you liked through MyLikes via Twitter, Tumblr, and other social media platforms. I believe you can also earn by liking things through MyLikes on Facebook, but checking the FAQ on the site I can’t find anything on there about that. This is a little confusing because I was under the impression that Facebook was one of the primary ways people could earn through MyLikes. Sometimes you’ll have sponsored likes available, and these come with their own set rate. You don’t have to like these things, but the rate displayed is guaranteed if anyone you know sees your like and clicks the link.

How much do you get paid on MyLikes?

Everyone who signs up has their own CPC (Cost Per Click), and this amount is determined by how well you engage your audience and how influential you are. The maximum CPC is $1.00, and just starting out you could probably expect yours to hover around .20 cents or so. I would say having more friends/followers on the social media sites you participate in also helps to increase your CPC. You can additionally increase your CPC by consistently getting lots of clicks on the things you like. You can’t make a living on MyLikes, but it could turn into a valuable source of extra money for you, especially considering that you probably already use lots of social networking websites here and there for fun.

How does MyLikes pay?

They pay with Paypal and will automatically send funds to your Paypal account once you have accrued $2. They pay every Friday, but earnings from your clicks are always held for a couple of days after the click so they can validate them. This means that even though you got a click on something Thursday for example, you may not necessarily get paid for it that Friday. It might be the next Friday. If you’d prefer, you can also opt to have your earnings sent to a few different charities that MyLikes supports.

How do you sign up on MyLikes?

Signing up is pretty easy. You can connect your Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr account and more to the MyLikes site. Then  you can just log in via any of those sites to see if you have any available campaigns or to “like” certain things.

Don’t try to get away with click fraud on MyLikes.

That pretty much speaks for itself. It’s a good way to get your account banned, and MyLikes has ways of finding out if you’ve encouraged people to click your links.

And just so you know …

I can’t seem to get MyLikes to work for me. I try to type in things into the search box to “like” and it always dims my screen and won’t let me do anything except press the back button on my browser. I’m not sure if I’m the only one having this problem or not, but it’s been this way for me since day one which is why I don’t actively participate here even though I would really like to. Research I’ve done indicates that everyone else does NOT have this problem, so maybe it’s just something with my computer. Please do let me know if you sign up and have the same problem so I’ll know it’s not just me.

If you want to go ahead and try it out, you can go here to sign up for MyLikes.

Mylikes was good and was paying like clockwork every Friday, however, they have not paid for awhile and are not responding to emails.

Thanks Karen. That’s a good warning to others who may be thinking of signing up. I’m not sure what could be going on with them … I can’t get MyLikes to work for myself. I’ve tried repeatedly and it just doesn’t.
